Dispersion through time
Stay in the same project. Compatible POSTFILE results from the current run appear in a dropdown — there is no separate Open File step to start playback.
Animation controls are shown only when a compatible POSTFILE exists. If none is available, playback options stay hidden.
2D and 3D visualisation are built around the active AERMOD Cloud project. There is no separate visualisation project to configure and no model geometry to recreate.
Move between 2D and 3D views of the same AERMOD One project without rebuilding the model, reloading results or creating a separate visualisation project.
Sources, receptors, buildings, terrain and model results remain connected to the same active project. Change the view, not the modelling workflow.
Inspect concentration contours, receptors, source locations and spatial relationships clearly in plan view.
Understand the model in relation to terrain, buildings, release heights and surrounding receptor locations.
Compatible POSTFILEs from this project appear in a dropdown. Playback tools are visible only when a compatible file exists.
Best suited to detailed contour review and precise spatial interpretation.
Best suited to understanding the physical context of the model and communicating plume behaviour.
One project
The viewer lists POSTFILE results already attached to the active project. Choose from the dropdown. There is no extra Open File dialog, and animation items stay hidden until a compatible file is present.
Playback
The transparency you set on the isopleth is maintained for every frame. Playing the sequence does not reset opacity.
Controls
Play, pause, step and timeline sit as a floating overlay on the view, not as a fixed bar at the top of the window.
Export
Export the animation as a GIF, as in the post-processor. Each frame is captured from the current viewpoint, then the model timestamp is written onto that frame at runtime so the time sits in the view — not across the whole application window.
